Megun Typeface

Megun [meh-goon] is a display font inspired by the Tifinagh script and Amazigh identity. With its tall, condensed forms, it carries a bold modern character while staying rooted in tradition. Designed to stand out in headlines, posters, and branding, Megun balances cultural authenticity with strong contemporary aesthetics.

This first release includes a single Regular weight, offered as a free version for designers, students, and creators exploring Tifinagh in their work. Megun supports both Latin characters and the Tifinagh script, covering the IRCAM standard and Neo-Tifinagh extensions, making it versatile for multilingual design projects.

Created by Tarik Raiss under the Tifinagh Fonts Studio project, Megun continues the studio’s mission to design functional and contemporary Amazigh typefaces. While this first release focuses on a single style, future updates and expanded font families are planned.

Megun is available as a free or pay-what-you-want download. Accessible to everyone, while supporting the growth of independent type design.
